I am so excited that my computer is finally set up in my room thanks to my bro.
For lunch my co-workers and I decided to get burger and fries at Burger Joint. Burger Joint is right across from our office located in Le Parker Meridien hotel and as we walked in we saw one of the pussy cat dolls in the lobby. Man I have never seen so many celebrities in one week. It's kinda cool.
Even though my burger was well done it was still pretty juicy and as for the fries it could use a little salt. I've actually been telling Jackie we've got to try out all the best burger places like the Shake Shack and BLT Burger and we shall one of these days.
I wonder what Winna is doing?!
Okay, have a good night!

Gossip Girl Sighting
Okay so I come to work and I see all these trailers in front of our office, I know something is being filmed. I look at the sign and it said "GOSSIP GIRL"! OMG GG! My co-workers tell me they are filming at The Russian Tea Room.
So just now Stephanie and I went down for a coffee run. We run into our boss just before heading out the door and he asks us where we're going and we said "coffee run" and he said "bullshit". He knows I don't drink coffee! ha ha! He said "you're going out to see GOSSIP GIRL? aren't you?" And we said "coffee run" and he just let us go!
Steph and I walked to the Starbucks on 57th street between 6th and 7th ave right next to The Russian Tea Room hoping to run into GG cast. We went over there and saw a police car surrounded by the film crew but no sight of the GG cast members. So Steph got coffee and we were standing in front of Starbucks but one of the guys working there tells us we have to move past the green awning. We ended up in front of Kate's Paperie store. I guess he was trying to keep the traffic flowing.
After standing there for 5 minutes we decided to go back to the trailers (in front of our office) to see if we would spot them. Steph and I were debating on whether to walk back the way we came from or walk around the block so we don't interrupt the film crew (even though it didn't look like they were filming anything). We decided to just go back the way we came from because it's a closer walk back to the office. While Steph was telling me her movie extra experience, Leighton Meester comes out of The Russian Tea Room and our eyes met. I was 1 feet away from her and Chase Crawford (he was behind her). I became speechless as did Steph. It was so funny! We didn't know what to say!

Confessions of a Shopaholic
So during this recession that we're in, I've decided to stop shopping for clothes. I cannot be as compulsive as I once was. I have plenty of clothes in my closet but I always end up wearing the same outfit each week. And I think it's mainly because of these 3 reasons-I forget what I own, it's folded under/over other clothes, or I don't know what to pair it with. But I know that I can survive this no shopping policy if I alternate and mix and match between items. It's time to get creative!
In order to ensure that I stop shoppping like a mad woman, I've unsubscribed emails from all shopping sites such as Shopbop.com, Gilt.com, and JCREW.com. Shopbop.com is deadly because there is free ground shipping. It always gets me! And I'm going to have to stop showing love to JCREW because it's just too much. Those free shipping codes with $150 just doesn't cut it. I don't want to spend $150. I would more likely buy if there was a free ground shipping option. Most recently I haven't bought anything from JCREW. I know they are hurting bad though because they had their first ever sample sale in nyc about a month or two ago. I read they had lots of unsold inventory. I really think they should have the free ground shipping option because that would mean more inventory being sold. Well what do I know?!! Okay, JCREW don't listen to me.
I'm not going to stop shopping period. If I see a shirt for $5, I'm getting it! That's the idea.

Jackie's Birthday Dinner
Jackie's birthday has passed but I still didn't get a chance to take him out to dinner and we may do just that this weekend (if he doesn't go snowboarding!). There's a few restaurants that I'm choosing from Danal, 26 Seats, Le Gigot, and Absinthe Wine Bar. These are all French Bistros and they all look pretty good but I just need to do a little more research. I'm so excited for this weekend because I have French food to look forward to and it's my moms birthday so there will be plenty of good food.
Edit: We actually didn't end up going to any of the French Bistro's because Jackie didn't want me to spend so much especially since I'll be making some changes in my life. We ended up going to our Korean spot in Chinatown. The food was great as always!

Trader Joe's Virtuoso Lip Balm
Is so far the perfect chapstick for me!
I've been searching for a perfect lip balm for quite some time now. I hadn't found one so I just stuck with the C&O Bigelow lip balm that I bought for 7 dollars. That is a lot for a lip balm! I mean don't get me wrong, I don't mind spending $ for quality but I wasn't happy when I found out there was petroleum in it.
I was shopping for groceries at Trader Joe's and while I was walking down the skincare aisle, the Trader Joe's Virtuoso Lip Balm stares me right in the face and I look at the ingredients and thought this might be what I've been looking for. And so far it's done my lips right! The safe and good for you ingredients include Organic Virgin Olive Oil, Beeswax, Organic Jojoba Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Essential Oil of Spearmint, Shea Butter, Rosemary Extract, Organic Comfrey, Organic Calendula, and Organic St. John's Wort. Best of all, it protects my lips with SPF 15! Oh and you're going to love the price $2.49 for 3 tubes!
The lip balm keeps my lips smooth and moisturized without feeling waxy. All you really need is a few swipes for the entire day! I give it a 10!
If you've tried it, I'd love to hear what you think about it. =)
