Dior vs. Lancome Mascara

FYI EDIT: I am no longer a customer of these products because I'm looking for safer skincare and cosmetics!

I bought the DIORSHOW mascara for $24 and guess what? It is such a waste of money. It definitely gives you volume but it can get clumpy. During the day, the mascara pieces fall under my eyes and it makes me look like I have dark circles.

So ladies please stay away from DIORSHOW mascara if you don't want clumpy pieces of mascara falling under your eye!

I totally recommend the Definicils mascara from Lancome. The purpose of this mascara is to separate and define your lashes without making it clump. I love this mascara. I have to go pick it up at the department store soon.

Home At Last...

I am finally home sweet home! Lately I haven't been getting enough rest because of all these gatherings. Don't get me wrong, I've had good times over these past few weeks but it just takes a toll on me in the morning day after day. And it is not stopping until after New Years. I better be prepared!

My sister is asking me to form sentences regarding my mom's annual review and right now at this time of the night, my brain is not functioning at 100%. So she will just have to do it on her own for now.

I want to eat a pear but I'm too lazy to peel the skin off. I'll wait and maybe my mom will do it for me! haha

Actually you know what, I want it now! So this is good night!

Blogging Binge

Okay, so I realize I've posted up more than a few posts in one day. I am on a blogging binge! I was on a quest to delete some of my social sites that I haven't visited in a while and I come across my xanga. My purpose for this quest came from after creating this new blog. It just made me realize that I am still a member of all these other social sites that has personal information and pictures of me, my family, and my friends. But before I delete these sites, I want to save all of my posts because after reading them, it brought back so many young memories of fun and sadness. I want it all on writing since as some of you may know my memory is not exactly great. I'd like to remember it all. I want to remember all the heartbreaks, the fun vacations with my friends and families, the partying/clubbing, studying/cramming for exams, and all the other lovely or not so lovely or both (why not right?) things that happen in life. I want to remember all those cheery and overly excited posts about anything to everything. I want to see how my writing has (hopefully) improved over the years and especially how I've developed as a person. I think I've found a whole new meaning of life at work - writing.

I finally have an outlet to express my feelings at any given moment (for the most part). I feel sort of relieved in some ways. It's quite amazing, really.

Goodbye to Myspace, Friendster, & Xanga..

Good morning! I'm really happy that I decided to create a blog where I can write whatever I want, whenever I feel, and whatever I like..

Thanks Anna for getting me into this. I remember the last time I used something like this was Xanga and that reminds me I have to cancel that account.

So far I've cancelled Myspace and soon Friendster and Xanga. Friendster is giving me a hard time for some odd reason. I want to get most of my shared information off the web since I don't use those social sites anymore anyways.

Goodbye Myspace, Friendster, and Xanga! Oh and I almost forgot Asian Avenue...oh the good ole days.

Lunch at Rue 57

So today I brought my lunch to work which I haven't done in a long while and then comes 11:30am, my co-worker sends out an email saying a sales rep is taking us out to lunch at Rue 57 which would've been great if I didn't look forward to eating my home-cooked meal and if had actually liked the restaurant. I've been to Rue 57 three times and for all three times that I've eaten there, I've enjoyed it once before. Maybe it's the food that I order or maybe the food is just not that good. This is what I ordered today- to start, I had 2 sashimi slices of Tuna, 2 sashimi slices of Charred Tuna, and 2 sashimi slices of Salmon. For my entree, I had the Steak Au Poivre topped with a mix of butter and pepporcorn crusted at the corners of the steak. The butter is fine but I'm not a fan of peppercorn as I had just officially realized today.

My co-worker ordered the Mini Turkey Burgers which she didn't like. She only finished 2 mini burgers out of 3! Their soups are always good just because you really can't go wrong with that. Their sashimi slices were fresh but the way their wasabi is made is different from other restaurants that I've been to. The wasabi at Rue 57 breaks into solid pieces and I feel like no matter how much I try to mix the soy sauce with the wasabi, it just stays in small pieces. Luckily I didn't put too much of it in the dish because then it would be too spicy. I like the softness of wasabi so when you mix it, it blends well and becomes a dark green soy sauce.

What I do reccomend if you were to pick a French bistro is a place called Brasserie Cognac not too far from Rue 57. Their food and service is great! I went there once with a sales rep and once for my birthday and I can honestly say their food has not disappointed me. When my co-workers and I went there, everyone liked what they ordered. What is especially good is the bread they bring to your table as a starter. Their french bread is the only reason I go there. It is so soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside it's amazing. The filet mignon came with a herbed butter sauce that I really liked. The cheese puffs come in 8 or 15 pieces and they taste the best right out of the oven. Their warm chocolate souffle cake with ice cream takes 15 minutes but it's all worth it!

Okay, that's all the food talking for today. I am looking forward to dinner with my girls! yay!
